Whether this is true or not, any role Canada played in helping this Wuhan lab develop viruses should be front page news," Bernier said."And yet, the Liberals are still working with the NDP to prevent documents from being released about two scientist with ties to the Chinese communist government and army, who were working at the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg and were fired in January 2020 after they had transferred viral samples to the Wuhan Institute of Virology."The government applied to the Federal Court of Canada to prevent release of the documents, which it claimed would be "injurious to international relations, national defence or national security."It dropped the case when the election was called in August since dissolution had rendered the "matter moot.""Conveniently for them, a House of Commons order to produce the documents was voided when Trudeau called an election last fall," Bernier said."The Liberals are claiming that national security could be endangered if the opposition see these documents.
