An autopsy has been completed on the death of a man in southeast Edmonton after he was gunned down.On Friday, around 12:30 a.m., shotgun blasts rang out as the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) responded to the report in the area of 26 Street and 19A Avenue.Upon arrival, officers located a 28-year-old male in medical distress and immediately administered first aid. EMS responded, treated and transported the man to the hospital, however, he succumbed to his injuries and died.On Tuesday, the Edmonton medical examiner completed an autopsy on the deceased, identified as Sheldon Nelson, 28.READ MORE: Three murders in first two days of year in EdmontonThe cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds."The manner of death is homicide," the EPS stated.The EPS continues to investigate and is asking anyone with information about Nelson’s death to contact 780-423-4567.
